Creating a website in a 960 grid, using div tags and CSS

This tutorial uses a 960 grid layout, and much of the information needed to create such a layout is included in this video tutorial. Div tags are used to hold content, and cascade style sheets (CSS) is used to format the margins, text, and positioning of the content.

This is a very basic layout structure and much more could be done to create your pages using css.

Before attempting to use divs for your content, you should have already created a prototype or drawing of your envisioned webpage(s) using a 960 grid system. This could be done with applications such as Photoshop or Fireworks.
