While maintaining the same prices in the United States, Apple increased the price of its most recent iPhones in some of its major countries, including China, Japan, and India.
It occurs as Apple attempts to rekindle growth despite a general slowdown in the smartphone market by focusing on premium consumers in nations like India, which has grown to be a key market for the Cupertino-based company.
On Tuesday, Apple unveiled its new line of iPhones. Compared to the iPhone 14 of the previous generation, all of the devices’ prices and storage options stayed the same in the United States.
However, Apple increased pricing for nearly all of the iPhone 15 models in China, which makes up close to 20% of the company’s overall sales. The fundamental specifications of the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, and iPhone 15 Pro Max did not change. For greater storage possibilities, however, Chinese clients will pay more. For instance, compared to the iPhone 14, the price of the 512 GB model of the iPhone 15 has increased by 300 Chinese Yuan ($41).
