Florida plans to give COVID vaccines to 16 and 17-year-olds starting April 5th

Florida is expediting the COVID vaccine eligibility age. On Friday, the State of Florida confirmed that it will allow 16 and 17-year-olds to be given the Pfizer vaccine as soon as April 5th, the date that all adults become eligible for the vaccine. This is the only vaccine that is approved for teenagers.

Teens will need to go to the vaccine site with parents or have them sign a form authorizing to get the vaccine.
