Following Wholesale Inflation, S&P 500 Decline

The latest inflation number came in hotter than expected on Friday, which caused the S&P 500 to decline.

The broad index decreased by 0.3%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 25 points, or 0.1%, during the trading day.A decline in semiconductor stock prices, including those of Advanced Micro Device, Nvidia, and Micron, contributed to the 0.6% decline in the Nasdaq Composite.
