As investors started buying tech stocks again on Thursday, the Nasdaq Composite and the S&P 500 increased, after three days of losses.
Both the tech-heavy index and the S&P 500 finished around session highs, rising 0.95% to 13,630.61 and 0.37% to 4,381.89, respectively. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 4.81 points, or 0.01%, to 33,946.71 during this time.
Although the Nasdaq is up today, Terry Sandven, chief equity strategist at U.S. Bank Wealth Management, noted that the market was down yesterday. “Equities seem to be at a standstill. There is a balanced struggle between the bull and bear market factions, which suggests future volatility and unpredictability.
