The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite increased on Thursday as investors hailed chipmaker Nvidia’s impressive second-quarter earnings, which stoked even more interest in artificial intelligence.
The Nasdaq increased 0.7%, while the broader market index rose 0.4%. Just above the flatline, the Dow Jones Industrial Average underperformed.
