Stocks slightly declined on Thursday as investors anticipated important jobs data that would likely dictate the direction that interest rates would take on Friday.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 9.98 points, or 0.03%, to finish the day at 33,119.57. The Nasdaq Composite went lower by 0.12% to close at 13,219.83, while the S&P 500 fell by 0.13% to close at 4,258.19.
On Thursday, the broad market index lost ground at the head of the pack. Thursday saw a 6.3% loss in the price of Molson Coors’ stock, followed by more than 5% drops for Mondelez International and Clorox.
