S&P 500 Record Its Fourth Consecutive Week Of Gains

Due to investors’ anticipation of impending inflation data and the Federal Reserve’s most recent policy decision, the S&P 500 modestly increased on Friday, rising to the 4,300 level for the first time since August 2022.

The broad market index finished at 4,298.86, up 0.11%. At 13,259.14, the Nasdaq Composite increased by 0.16%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 33,876.78 after trading up 43.17 points, or 0.13%. The 30-stock Dow had its fourth straight up day.

The S&P 500 increased by 0.39% for the week. The broad-market index achieved a feat it previously did in August by posting its fourth consecutive winning week. The Nasdaq gained roughly 0.14% and recorded its seventh consecutive week of gains. This is the longest winning streak since November 2019. The Dow increased by 0.34%.
