On Friday, stocks increased as traders battled their concerns that the Federal Reserve would start raising rates once more. But all the major averages were on course for a week of losses.
The Nasdaq Composite increased 0.7% and the S&P 500 gained 0.5%. By 64 points, or 0.2%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased.
A losing week is anticipated for each of the three major averages. The Nasdaq is expected to experience a little decline, while the S&P 500 is down by roughly 0.3%. The Dow is the least successful of the three, heading for a loss of 1.1%.
