Monday saw an increase in stock futures as Senate leaders moved closer to a possible agreement to end the historic U.S. government shutdown.
Futures linked to the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased by 198 points, or 0.4%, while S&P 500 futures saw a gain of about 1%.
Nasdaq-100 futures were up 1.5%.
As senators work to enact a federal funding measure that would end a shutdown, investors are still keeping an eye on the negotiations.
