Having initially breached the 4,000 mark in April 2021, the broad-based index rose by 0.82% to end at 4,995.06. At its peak during the session, the S&P reached 4,999.89.
In parallel, the Nasdaq Composite surged by 0.95% to settle at 15,756.64, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced by 156 points, or 0.4%, concluding at 38,677.36 and establishing a fresh all-time high.
