Tuesday’s decline in U.S. stock futures expected to reverse the previous session’s gains on the major averages.
Dow Jones Industrial Average futures decreased by 0.4%, or 151 points. Futures on the Nasdaq 100 fell along with the S&P 500, down 0.45% and 0.6%, respectively.
After a successful session, Wall Street is celebrating. Though the S&P 500 gained 0.3%, the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite climbed 0.8% to close at a high.
A 0.1% increase, or 50.66 points, was made to the Dow Jones Industrial Average in the meantime. In the second half of 2024, investors are wondering if the year’s robust beginning can last.
Bearish market observers fear that poor breadth could indicate choppiness ahead, even as megacap tech firms continue to outperform.
