Palantir Technologies: After increasing its expectation for full-year sales, the data analytics company saw an 11% increase in value. Palantir’s current revenue estimates range from $2.74 billion to $2.75 billion. That is an increase from $2.69 billion to a range of $2.68 billion.

Yum China Following the Shanghai-based operator of Pizza Hut and Taco Bell’s second-quarter earnings surpassed estimates, shares increased by 8%. LSEG reports that adjusted earnings of 55 cents per share exceeded analysts’ projected earnings of 47 cents per share.

Uber Technologies: Following the release of its second quarter financial results that exceeded expectations, the ride-sharing company’s shares surged by 6%. Profits above the 31 cents per share predicted by LSEG’s panel of analysts, coming in at 47 cents per share. Above the $10.57 billion consensus expectation, revenue came in at $10.7 billion.

Caterpillar: The industrial behemoth surged 3.54% following better-than-anticipated quarterly performance. On $16.69 billion in revenue, the corporation made $5.99 per share in the second quarter. Analysts projected $16.68 billion in revenue and a profit per share of $5.54.

CrowdStrike: The cybersecurity company’s stock increased by 3% following Piper Sandler’s upgrade from neutral to overweight, seeing the decline as a buying opportunity.

Semiconductors: Chip stocks rebounded collectively the day following a severe sell-off in tech companies. NVidia increased by 3%, Super Micro Computer, Broadcom, and Intel both skyrocketed by 2%.

ZoomInfo Technologies — Following a second-quarter earnings report that fell short of expectations, the company’s shares for client acquisition platforms fell 14%. On $292 million in revenue, ZoomInfo reported adjusted earnings per share of 17 cents.

Group Lucid: Following Lucid’s second-quarter sales exceeding expectations, the stock of electric vehicles surged 11%. The business exceeded the $192 million LSEG average estimate with revenue of $200.6 million.
