After investors received a positive indication that peace negotiations between the United States and Iran would soon begin in Pakistan, the S&P 500 increased on Friday.
The Nasdaq Composite gained 0.6%, while the broad market index increased by 0.2%. Nonetheless, the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 160 points, or 0.3%.
