After the main indexes recovered from their worst week in 2024, stock futures saw a little increase on Tuesday.
Nasdaq 100 futures increased by about 0.3%, while S&P 500 futures saw a 0.2% increase. 21 points, or almost 0.1%, were added to Dow Jones Industrial Average futures.
After releasing fiscal first-quarter results that above forecasts, cloud platform company Oracle saw a roughly 8% increase in share price. In addition, Oracle announced a database services collaboration with Amazon Web Services.
Having had their worst week of the year, investors bought the drop, and on Monday the three major averages rallied sharply. In September, the S&P 500 experienced its first day of gains after four days of losses, rising 1.16%.
