As equities continue to hold firm in the face of growing concerns about global trade and ongoing inflation, the S&P 500 increased Tuesday, trading close to a record.
The major averages on Wall Street had a successful week. Last week, the S&P 500 rose 1.5%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained just 0.6%.
The Nasdaq Composite experienced a 2.6% increase.
A large portion of last week’s progress occurred on Thursday, following investors’ concerns that the tariffs might be more severe being allayed by President Donald Trump’s proposal for reciprocal duties on nations that impose taxes on American exports.
