Stocks Jump as Congress Begins to Consider a Deal to End the Shutdown

Following a crucial step taken by Senate senators towards a possible agreement to end the historic U.S. government shutdown, stocks increased on Monday.

The Nasdaq Composite increased by 2%, while the S&P 500 increased by 1.2%.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 0.4%, or 183 points.

As a potential conclusion to the shutdown encouraged investors to take risks once more, Nvidia, Broadcom, and other giants in the artificial intelligence bull market led the gains.

Last week, those stocks caused the overall market to decline as Wall Street became concerned about the high valuations in the AI trade.
