Stocks Volatile as Bond Yields Rise and Apple Shares Fall

U.S. stocks experienced volatility on Friday but ultimately regained their earlier gains amid rising bond yields and the digestion of earnings reports from major hyperscalers like Apple.

The Nasdaq Composite increased by 0.3%, while the S&P 500 edged up by 0.1%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 68 points, or roughly 0.1%.

This week, the 30-year Treasury bond yield surged to its highest level since 2007, reaching around 5.26%.

Meanwhile, the 10-year Treasury note yield rose above 4.7% on the day, marking its highest level since January 2025.
