U.S. stock futures gained ground early Monday as investors looked ahead to the July jobs report and a busy week of corporate earnings to kick off August trading.
The futures linked to the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 265 points, or 0.9%. Meanwhile, S&P 500 futures increased by 0.55%, and Nasdaq-100 futures climbed 0.93%.
In Asia-Pacific markets, trading was mixed on Monday. South Korea’s Kospi dropped more than 5%, erasing some of its Friday gains after posting its best day on record.
Japan’s Nikkei 225 declined by 0.94%. Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 finished up 0.47%. Mainland China’s CSI 300 fell 0.98%.
