Wall Street Looks to Close the Week on a Positive Note as the S&P 500 Sets a New Record Above 5,100

Stocks extended their gains on Friday, following a strong performance in the previous session, with investors aiming to finish the week on a positive note.

The S&P 500 surged by 0.3%, surpassing the 5,100 mark for the first time. The Dow Jones Industrial Average also saw an uptick of 117 points, or 0.3%, achieving a new record high. Additionally, the Nasdaq Composite rose by 0.5%, poised for a potential all-time closing high.

In the wake of Nvidia’s impressive quarterly results, Wall Street witnessed significant momentum in the markets. The S&P 500 experienced its most remarkable day since January 2023, while the Nasdaq Composite recorded a 3% surge, marking its best session since February 2023. Furthermore, the 30-stock Dow registered a gain of 1.2%.
