After a small lull over the weekend, bitcoin spiked early this week, getting closer to its all-time high. As per Coin Metrics, the top cryptocurrency increased by 3.7% to attain $65,127.00. Prior to this, it reached its highest point since November 2021 at $65,606.17. Ether experienced increase as well, rising by 1% to $3,508.24.
The previous week saw the biggest increases in bitcoin and ether in almost a year, with bitcoin soaring by almost 21% and ether by 16%. Over the weekend, though, their momentum stalled as investors weighed the effects of significant withdrawals from the Grayscale Bitcoin ETF, which were offset by inflows into a number of recently founded bitcoin ETFs.
