Dow Jumps 500 Points as Oil and Bond Yields Retreat

Stocks surged on Wednesday as oil prices and U.S. Treasury yields declined, fueled by growing optimism that the Middle East conflict could soon be resolved.

Investors also anticipated Nvidia’s upcoming first quarter earnings report.

The Dow Jones rose by 552 points (1.1%), the S&P 500 increased by 0.9%, and the Nasdaq Composite gained 1.2%.

Oil prices dropped sharply, with West Texas Intermediate futures down 6% to around $97 per barrel, and Brent crude falling 6% to approximately $104 per barrel.

The decline followed comments from President Donald Trump, who indicated that negotiations with Iran were in the “final stages.”
