U.S. stock futures declined on Monday, poised to continue last week’s losses as investors prepared for upcoming inflation data.
Dow Jones Industrial Average futures were down 182 points, or 0.5%, while S&P 500 futures and Nasdaq-100 futures dropped by 0.5% and 0.6%, respectively.
In premarket trading on Monday, Nvidia saw a approximately 1% decrease. Despite closing last week with gains, the stock experienced a sell-off of more than 5% on Friday, its largest single-day decline since late May. Super Micro Computer, another AI-focused stock, also dropped more than 3% before the market opened.
This downward trend comes after a week of losses for the major indices. The Dow Jones fell by 0.9% last week, marking its worst performance since October. The S&P 500 retreated by 0.3%, while the Nasdaq Composite tumbled 1.2%.
