After the broad market index set a new all-time high and a closing record during the regular trading session, stock futures saw a decline in early Thursday.
Futures linked to the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq-100 both experienced a 0.2% decline.
In the meantime, Dow Jones Industrial Average-related futures fell 40 points, or 0.1%.
Wednesday saw the S&P 500 reach yet another all-time high and notch its second straight winning session.
The 30-stock Dow and the Nasdaq Composite both ended the day higher as investors ignored President Donald Trump’s threat of further tariffs.
