Tesla has recently implemented price reductions on its Model Y electric cars in various European countries. This comes shortly after the company made similar price cuts for its Model 3 and Model Y vehicles in China. The price adjustments were observed on the local websites of Tesla in Germany, France, Norway, and the Netherlands.
In Germany, the rear-wheel drive Model Y now has a price tag of 42,990 euros ($46,760.65), representing a discount of approximately 4.2% compared to its previous retail value. The Model Y Long Range’s cost has also been decreased to 49,990 euros, reflecting an 8.1% reduction, while the rear-wheel drive model now sells for 42,990 euros, a drop of 4.2%.
In France, Tesla has lowered the prices of its Model Y cars by up to 6.7%, and in the Netherlands, the reduction reached 7.7% for the Model Y. Similarly, in Norway, Tesla has implemented price cuts ranging from 5.6% to 7.1%.
As a result of these developments, Tesla’s shares experienced a 1.6% decline in premarket trading in the United States.
