U.S. stock futures declined on Wednesday after the major averages saw gains the previous day, with investors eagerly awaiting the Federal Reserve’s latest policy decision.
Dow Jones Industrial Average futures were down 40 points, or 0.1%, while S&P 500 futures slipped 0.1%. Nasdaq 100 futures hovered around the flatline.
The Federal Reserve is widely expected to maintain interest rates at their current levels after the conclusion of its two-day policy meeting on Wednesday.
However, investors will closely watch the dot plot for clues on the potential timing and number of rate cuts, with many predicting that the central bank will initiate rate decreases starting in June.
