The Dow Falls More Than 350 Points as the Rise on Wall Street Pauses

Treasury yields increased and investors expected new earnings reports on Monday, which caused the Dow Jones Industrial Average to revert some of the significant gains from the previous week.

In contrast to the Dow Jones Industrial Average, which dropped 330 points, or roughly 0.8%, the S&P 500 fell 0.3%. Close to the flatline was the Nasdaq Composite.

As worries about higher-for-longer interest rates grew, consumer and homebuilder companies suffered the most, with Target and Builders FirstSource both down more than 4%.

Lennar also lost about 3.5 percent. The yield on the 10-year Treasury increased to 4.178%, a rise of more than 10 basis points.
