On Thursday, major stock indices fell amid concerns over rising crude oil prices and Treasury yields.
The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite each declined 0.5%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 276 points, or 0.6%.
Crude oil prices surged following reports that Iran’s supreme leader issued a directive to limit enriched uranium within the country, adding uncertainty to U.S.-Iran relations.
West Texas Intermediate futures rose 3% to $102 per barrel, and Brent crude increased 3% to $108 per barrel.
Traders also evaluated whether Nvidia’s earnings report met the high expectations set for the AI giant.
