The tech-heavy index increased by 0.9%, while the S&P 500 gained 0.4%.
Meanwhile, the Dow Jones Industrial Average dipped by 50 points, or 0.1%.
Nvidia’s shares surged 6% after surpassing analyst expectations and issuing an optimistic revenue forecast.
