U.S. stock futures were near steady early Monday after the S&P 500 achieved a series of record highs last week.
Futures linked to the 500-stock benchmark showed no significant change, while Dow Jones Industrial Average futures were down by 0.08% and Nasdaq 100 futures were up by 0.07%.
Closing the week on a positive note, the S&P 500 surged by 0.57% to surpass the 5,000 milestone for the first time, while the tech-oriented Nasdaq Composite posted a gain of 1.25%. Conversely, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by 0.14%, with a loss of 54.46 points.
Having marked their fifth consecutive week of gains, all three major indices recorded increases. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite saw gains of 1.4% and 2.3% respectively, while the Dow registered marginal growth.
