Stock market futures are on the rise at the start of the week, as investors navigate a turbulent tech sector and brace for a busy week of earnings reports.
Futures linked to the S&P 500 are up by 0.45%, while Nasdaq 100 futures have gained 0.47% and Dow Jones Industrial Average futures have added 194 points, or 0.5%.
Last week, both the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite experienced significant declines of 3.05% and 5.52% respectively, leading to ongoing six-day losing streaks. The Nasdaq saw a 2% drop on Friday alone, with major tech player Nvidia witnessing a 10% decline, contributing to the broader losses across the tech sector.
In contrast, the Dow Jones Industrial Average, which has less exposure to tech stocks than the other benchmarks, had a relatively stable performance last week.
