After gaining three points, the Dow Jones Industrial Average remained close to the flatline.
The Nasdaq Composite increased 0.2% while the S&P 500 gained 0.1%. It is expected that the major averages will close the week higher.
The S&P 500 and the Dow are expected to gain 1.5% and 0.9%, respectively. The Nasdaq has increased by 2.3% this week.
