Monday saw a significant recovery for the Dow Jones Industrial Average, which had suffered sharp losses earlier in the day when the United States and Mexico announced that tariffs on the trading partner would be suspended for a month.
Last week, the 30-stock average fell 84 points, or 0.2%. At its lowest points of the day, it had down 1.5%, or 665.6 points.
With final declines of 0.6% and 0.9%, respectively, the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite both recovered nicely from their lows.
After recovering, the iShares MSCI Mexico ETF (EWW), which tracks Mexican companies, saw a 2% increase in value.
