Monday’s gains in stock futures came as Wall Street prepared for a busy week of corporate earnings.
Futures linked to the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased by 0.3%, or 135 points. While Nasdaq 100 futures increased by 0.5%, S&P 500 futures saw a 0.4% increase.
Following a tumultuous week on the stock market, futures are moving. A 2.1% decline occurred in the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite, while the S&P 500 sank 0.8%.
Still, the small-cap Russell 2000 increased 3.5% and the Dow increased 0.8%.
While the tech trade’s cooling off has harmed the larger market indices, many market analysts find encouragement in the way that certain sectors, particularly small caps, are catching up.
