Following a new record close for the S&P 500 on Wednesday afternoon, stock futures saw minimal movement.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average-linked futures increased 16 points, or 0.04%. Futures for the S&P 500 increased by 0.2%, while those for the Nasdaq-100 increased by 0.3%.
Following warnings from Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell that maintaining high interest rates for an extended period of time could impede economic development, Wall Street is retreating from recent record highs for the Nasdaq Composite and S&P 500.
Whereas the Nasdaq gained 0.14%, the S&P 500 increased by 0.07% instead. A mere 0.13%, or 52.82 points, were taken off the 30-stock Dow.
