Apple Increases Apple TV+’s Monthly Cost to $9.99

A number of Apple’s key service offerings, such as Apple TV+, Arcade, and its packaged product, Apple One, saw price increases on Wednesday. It comes after price increases in October 2022.

From $6.99 per month, Apple TV+ will now run you $9.99. The price hike follows Apple’s $4.99 pricing increase in 2022. The annual bundle used to cost $69. It now costs $99 instead.

The premium Premier subscription, which is currently available for $37.95 per month, will no longer be included in Apple One, the bundle deal that many families use to obtain Apple services at a reduced cost.

Additionally, Apple is raising the monthly cost of News+ and Arcade to $12.99 and $6.99, respectively.

An Apple spokeswoman informed CNBC that starting today, the subscription costs for Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple News+, and Apple One will rise in the US and several other international regions. “These price hikes will take effect for current subscribers 30 days from the date of their next renewal.”

Apple’s services division includes all of these goods. The division brought in $21.21 billion in revenue in the third quarter of Apple’s fiscal year, making it the company’s second-largest business after the iPhone, which brought in $39.67 billion in the same period.

Because it shows how Apple is monetizing its active base of 2 billion devices by selling them subscriptions, streaming TV, warranties, advertising, payment services, and other things in the category, the company is tremendously profitable and significant to investors.
