SB Energy will develop and operate the data center at the PORTS-Pike Technology Campus in Pike City, Ohio, through a 20 year lease agreement with OpenAI.
The frontier lab has an ownership stake in SB Energy, and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman was an early investor in the company.
