On Tuesday, S&P 500 futures declined amid rising Treasury yields, driven by concerns over persistent inflation and high oil prices.
Additionally, a downturn in semiconductor stocks contributed to the broader market weakness.
Futures linked to the S&P 500 fell by 0.4%, while Nasdaq-100 futures dropped by 1.1%.
Western Digital declined over 5%, weighing heavily on Nasdaq futures, with SanDisk slipping more than 4%. Marvell Technology and Seagate Technology each fell more than 5%.
Meanwhile, Dow Jones Industrial Average futures dipped by just 48 points, or 0.1%. The losses were partially offset by a 1% rise in Home Depot shares, following the company’s better than expected second quarter earnings report.
