On Tuesday, as Wall Street prepared for the publication of important inflation figures, stock futures twitched close to the zero line.
Futures on the Nasdaq 100 were little lower, while those on the S&P 500 were unchanged. The Dow Jones Industrial Average futures saw a 32 point increase. The Dow has ended the longest winning streak it had since December, having just finished its first losing session in nine.
Along with the Nasdaq, the S&P 500 also edged lower. Consumer expectations for both short- and long-term inflation increased in April, according to a report from the New York Federal Reserve. Both the major averages and stocks were impacted by the outcomes.
