Thursday morning’s S&P 500 futures saw minimal movement as traders examined the most recent earnings reports and prepared for the release of the fourth-quarter GDP data.
Futures connected to the Nasdaq 100 and S&P 500 indexes wavered close to the zero line. Dow Jones Industrial Average futures increased by 0.2%, or 90 points.
Following the release of its unsatisfactory fourth-quarter results and a warning about slower vehicle volume growth for 2024, electric vehicle maker Tesla saw a nearly 6% decline in premarket trading.
With IBM releasing adjusted earnings and revenue that exceeded analysts’ projections, the technology company’s stock price surged by over 7%.
On Thursday, Humana, Southwest Airlines, and American Airlines are all anticipated to report before the bell. Intel, Western Digital, and T-Mobile will release their quarterly results after the closing.
