As the Worldwide Market Sell-Off Gets More Intense, Dow Futures Drop 800 Points and S&P Futures Lose 3%

Amidst widespread market selling triggered by concerns about an impending U.S. recession, U.S. stock futures fell sharply on Monday.

In the worst day for Japan since Wall Street’s Black Monday crisis in 1987, the Nikkei 225 fell 12%.

Futures on the US stock market are currently at: Following the benchmark’s 1.8% loss on Friday, S&P 500 futures are down 2.7%.

While large tech firms took a beating in early trading, Nasdaq-100 futures saw a 4% loss. When compared to Friday’s 611-point loss, Dow Jones Industrial Average futures fell 760 points, or 1.9%.
