U.S. stocks declined for the third consecutive day on Wednesday as investors anticipated Nvidia’s upcoming quarterly earnings report.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by 77 points, or about 0.1%. The S&P 500 dropped by 0.2%, and the Nasdaq Composite slid by 0.7%.
Nvidia is scheduled to release its fiscal fourth-quarter results after the market close. Investors have shown increasing concerns about Nvidia’s high valuation leading up to the announcement, given the chipmaker’s significant 230% surge in share price over the past year. Nvidia’s stock experienced a decline of more than 3% on Wednesday.
