As investors anticipated the release of earnings from the big tech companies, the S&P 500 remained close to its flat line on Tuesday.
Notwithstanding the Nasdaq Composite’s roughly 0.2% gain, the broad index saw little movement after recording its highest day in over a month. By almost 0.1%, or 46 points, the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased.
Following the bell, Alphabet, the parent company of Google, and Tesla are scheduled to release their Q2 financial reports, and Wall Street has been busy analysing them.
The Street will be examining these reports for the first time to see how well-known IT companies performed in the previous quarter.
