As Wall Street Volatility Persists, Dow Futures Fall More Than 400 Points

On Thursday, investors continued to manage the escalating trade tensions, which put pressure on stock futures.

Dow Jones Industrial Average-related futures fell 402 points, or around 0.9%. Futures on the Nasdaq-100 and S&P 500 both saw losses of more than 1%.

Following the White House’s announcement on Wednesday that it will postpone tariffs on automakers whose vehicles adhere to the US-Mexico-Canada Agreement by one month, the prices have dropped. The major averages rose on Wednesday as traders’ expectations that Trump would grant further exemptions were bolstered by this.
