In anticipation of the Federal Reserve’s policy meeting, stocks declined on Friday as investors finished up a turbulent week.
A decrease of 288.87 points, or 0.83%, brought the Dow Jones Industrial Average to 34,618.24. At its lowest point, the index totally undid Thursday’s 332-point gain. To 4,450.32, the S&P 500 fell 1.22%. The Nasdaq Composite fell 1.56 percent to 13,708.00.
With a 0.12% gain, the Dow ended a successful week. However, the S&P 500 and Nasdaq both experienced losses for the second week in a row, falling by 0.16% and 0.39%, respectively.
