Stocks declined on Friday, pressured by losses in technology stocks and a rise in U.S. Treasury yields, following a summit between President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping that concluded without major policy breakthroughs, sparking investor concerns.
The S&P 500 decreased by 1.24%, closing at 7,408.50.
The Nasdaq Composite fell 1.54% to 26,225.14.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 537.29 points, or 1.07%, ending the day at 49,526.17.
