Dow Finishes 100 Points Higher. S&P 500 Close to Record on Wednesday

On Wednesday, the stock market witnessed a positive trend as attention was focused on the S&P 500’s progress towards achieving record levels. The S&P 500 saw a modest increase of 0.14%, closing at 4,781.58, while the Nasdaq Composite experienced a slight gain of 0.16%, ending at 15,099.18. The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed by 111.19 points, equivalent to 0.3%, before concluding the day at 37,656.52.

Notably, the Dow achieved a fresh closing high, and the S&P 500 came within 0.5% of its previous closing record set in January 2022, standing at 4,796.56. Alongside the Dow and Nasdaq, the S&P 500 is currently enjoying an impressive eight-week winning streak, its longest continuous winning streak since 2017.
