Tuesday saw the Dow Jones Industrial Average decline as the blue-chip index was pulled lower by concerns about U.S. inflation and a mixed bag of large bank profits.
Gains in Nvidia, meanwhile, helped the Nasdaq Composite. The 30-stock Dow ended the day at 44,023.29.
It had dropped 436.36 points, or 0.98%. After hitting a new record high earlier in the day, the S&P 500 had a 0.40 percent decline and ended the day at 6,243.76.
Adding 0.18% and closing at a record level of 20,677.80, the Nasdaq was an outperformed.
Following the chip company’s announcement that it aims to “soon” resume delivery of its H20 GPU supplies to China, Nvidia shares rose 4%, helping the tech-heavy index.
