Despite anxiety over the inflationary outlook, European markets ended the day Friday with modest gains, following U.S. stocks.
Media stocks increased 1.1% while the basic resources sector decreased by 0.4%. The pan-European Stoxx 600 index ended the longest losing streak it had experienced since February 2018 with a 0.22% gain. According to LSEG data, the index has down 1% so far this week.
