Wednesday saw the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite soar to all-time highs, continuing their stellar 2024 performances, helped by a less-than-expected U.S. consumer inflation statistics.
While the tech-heavy Nasdaq surged 0.9%, the overall market index gained 0.8%. Less than 0.5 percentage points separated the Dow Jones Industrial Average from an all-time high as it increased by 232 points, or 0.6%.
